Communities In Schools' Food for Thought Benefit - Thursday, Sep 12 6:00pm to 9:00pm - Join Food for Thought, Communities In Schools’ signature tasting event featuring mouth-watering dishes from the most exclusive restaurants in Austin. Congressman Michael McCaul, Linda McCaul and Tyson Tuttle, CEO of Silicon Labs, are chairing the event. The event raises funds for Communities In Schools programs and services, which surrounds students with a community of support and empowers them to stay in school and achieve in life. Come enjoy delicious cuisine to keep kids in school!
Austin Museum Day - FREE - Sunday, Sep 22 -Since 1998, the Austin Museum Partnership has hosted Austin Museum Day – a free, city-wide rediscovery of Austin museums. Austin Museum Day, held on the penultimate Saturday of the month of September, is AMP’s premier event and represents a critical part of the vibrant cultural history of Central Texas. It provides families with a unique opportunity to access the dynamic museum community including local exhibits and activities at over 40 participating institutions at no charge!

Strut Your Mutt - Saturday, Sep 28 8:00am to 12:00pm - Mueller Lake Park - Austinites two-legged and four who want to “walk the walk” for homeless pets! A leisurely fundraising dog walk followed by a doggie-themed festival that includes pet contests, photos, treats for your dogs, fun activities, refreshments and more.
