April is all about giving in Austin. Great news! Crawfish & Croquet 2016 is on Sunday, April 24! Get your fill of crawfish, pulled pork, Saint Arnold’s beer, and fun at Fiesta Gardens, benefiting Mobile Loaves & Fishes. Of course, you probably need other things to do around Austin until then, so here’s what you can expect in the month to come:
Austin International Poetry Festival, April 7 - 10
Across the city, people are getting together to witness some of the best poetry Austin has to offer. Taking place in several venues at different times, come out to see the power of words take form.
Austin Reggae Fest, April 15 - 17, Auditorium Shores
Raising money for Capital Area Food Bank for over a decade, Austin Reggae Fest is taking over Auditorium Shores. Pre-order tickets now and save on door prices.
Eeyore’s Birthday, April 30, Pease District Park
Local beer, live music, and an eclectic mix of costumes mark the birthday of a beloved children’s book character. This annual event benefits several local charities and nonprofits.
Capital 10K, April 10, Congress Avenue
This 10K has grown a lot from its roots back in 1978 with 3,400 participants. Now, more than 18,000 will make the trek in an annual Austin tradition.
